Description
Copal is a sacred resin of Mesoamerican traditions: the Maya and Aztecs burned it in their temples long before Europeans arrived. White copal gives off a dense, sweet-resinous smoke — softer than frankincense, with a warm pine note.
How to use: place a small piece of resin on lit charcoal in a heat-resistant dish. One piece is enough for 15–20 minutes of smudging.
Origin: Mexico, resin from the Bursera tree. Hand-harvested.
